Rumors are flying that Hillary will step down and that Bill Richardson will be named to take her place as Secretary of State. Not only that, but there's speculation that Hillary will wage a primary battle against President Obama. Nancy weighs in on the issue. When asked whether she'd stick with the president if this were to happen, she confirms her loyalty to him.

As far as I'm concerned, there's no way in the world Hillary would enter a primary against President Obama. No way. No how.

1. If she steps down it won't be because she's running for President..

More like Wikileak cables and the Clinton Global Initiative Fund

2. The last I heard...
HRC was happy right where she's at, and I don't think there's any desire to shove her aside. I think when she feels she's accomplished what she feels she needs to, she will go into advocacy work, just as Bill has - she has discussed this in a few different interviews in the last year.

4. Skinner says she might step down to "become a host on The View"??
with Sarah Palin, no less?

That blows that radio host's credibility with me, right now.:eyes:

8. Can't you tell sarcasm when you hear it?
Or do you need someone to actually say "sarcasm"? She was totally kidding about that.

...She didn't do that, IMO.

11. I guess I'm not...and I don't see or hear anything from her in that clip
that would encourage me to become so.

14. LOL
Seriously. I think Megyn thought she was putting her on the spot, but Nancy is the biggest Obama fan there is, so there was no question what her answer would be.

15. I don't think it's impossible that she'll step down,
but I do think it's pretty much out of the question about a primary challenge. If she does step down, for whatever reason, Richardson as a replacement wouldn't surprise me at all.

17. She may step down...
I wouldn't be surprised if she steps down. It won't be to mount a primary challenge. Secretary Clinton is much too smart for that. She's added a notch to her belt. I doubt she'll run for President again. She may just want to do something different. Maybe she's expecting grandkids soon. Who knows? She could easily decide that she's accomplished all she really needs to in politics. Or, maybe she knows something we don't and would prefer not to get her hands dirty with it. Maybe all "heck" is going to break loose and the writing on the wall suggests it ain't going to be pretty and from her vantage point, she's powerless to prevent it or make it better. After all, as Secretary of State you push someone else's ideas. She could eventually just get fed up.
