1. Just cut the budget in half and give the rest of us a tax break...
Give us health care, and education for staters.

2. The Line in the Sand has been Drawn
We will never see peace with either party. Can't win voting right or left. Peace is not part of the agenda. We voted in Obama thinking he would end the conflicts, wrong. Your representation had a chance to end the Afghan conflict and they failed.

Point of fact:

March 10, 2010, Rep. Dennis Kucinich – H. Con. Res. 248 – War Powers “Directs President Obama to remove troops in Afghanistan within 30 days of the measures adoption by both House and Senate or by December 31, 2010 should such removal be deemed hazardous to the troops.”

This measure was voted down by 356 to 65 with 60 democrats and 5 republicans voting in the affirmative. – NO PEACE THIS YEAR

If you really want to find out if your house representation is for peace, look at the vote on this bill.

The line has been drawn in the sand, peace is not part of our future.

3. There is no justification
Edited on Wed Dec-29-10 05:54 AM by Enthusiast
for these wars of aggression. And there is no justification for a military budget of even half the size we currently run. Especially in light of the fact that some deficit hawks want to cut programs that actually keep people alive, rather than kill people for no good purpose. These wars are the very "foreign entanglements" we were warned about.

Imagine the time leading up to WWI there was massive outrage that we might go to war, even to protect France and United Kingdom. Amazing how the MIC Ike warned us about has grown in influence.
