1. The only reason why Vick is a (non)story
...is because they need to attack the president for his every move no matter how slight. Despite my disgust over everything Vick was accused and convicted of, he served his time, and is performing public service in order to exhibit his reform.
Should this man never be allowed to work again?
Should this man's family be forced to to suffer and starve because he went to prison?

Conservatives are all echoing the same talking points, hive-speakig the same rhetoric, just as they do on every subject.
This is not an attack on Vick and his rehabilitation. It is a political attack aimed at the president.

2. I don't think Vick should have been executed, but he should not have

been able to slip right back into an elitist NFL role. Has Vick contacted the people who are now taking care of the dogs he tortured to inquire about their condition? No. All this aside, for Obama to have called the Eagles to congratulate them for giving Vick another chance, I find ignominious. Beyond the pale.

5. This was bound to happen
You know that old saying about sticking a million monkeys in front of a million typewriters, eventually one of them will bang out the first page of Hamlet? Well, when you have three 24/7 'news' networks, and what seems like a million pundits, eventually stupid things that sound outrageous will come out.

It's surprising to me that something like this doesn't happen once a week.
