6. Well, his approval ratings on handling of Iraq bumped up a few points this week.
...so someone does, but not many.

7. It won't last
It never does. All his rhetoric can't offset the inevitable bad news that will continue to come out of Iraq.

8. it was a delight to watch
I had it on my DVR so I watched it again. It's true--most people don't believe them anymore, and MSNBC knows it. Over on Fox they did their best to support the chimp--but I saw no enthusiasm. They did a knee-jerk Dem-bashing thing (again) about the MoveOn.org ad on Brit Hume, but otherwise it was pretty unenthusiastic. The day of the chimp is definitely over. He's the lamest of lame ducks. And he did it to himself.

11. They co-hosted the election coverage and
it appeared a tad awkward for a while, but eventually they smoothed it out. Matthews paid Keith a glowing compliment comparing him to legendary commentators. It looked like a truce.

22. US are not to get the trout before..

The US are not to get the trout out of what happening in Iraq, and elswhere before President Bush are out of office.. In 2008 or later. You wil just nok get the whole real truth before he is out of the office

And then it wil take years, maybe decades before the whole ugly fact for the last 6-8 year is coming out.. It vil be like the Vietnam war all over again... But this time it wil be more dangrous.. Even the communist in NorthViet-nam was not into killing americans and western everywhere they are found... And the Vietnam was not that a dangrous enemy to US interest when it come ot it...

But some friends US have today can be dangrous.. Both Saudi-Arabia and Pakistan have a ziseable group of peopole who dont really care about US anymore.. Not that they care of the westernes at all, but specially they dont care about Americans anymore..

The truth about Iraq, the Administration and the whole ugly thing that have been like a nightmare for the last 6 and a half year wil come to light when the next president is in sharge.. The next President even that he i s a Republican CANOT just get the rug over this thing.. A full Congressional enqurity, into all the current Administrations handlings have to get into action.. Both partys, and the Federal State have to get into it, and to try to get all the current Administrations gang into a grand jury where all the evidence is presentet. It wil take a long time, it wil be hard, but the outcome wil be important for the future of US.

If a presidency like this are given a free pass, you cant imagine what coming next time a person like your current president are votet into office.. Here in Europe we do have had our share of both evil and dumb leaders.. But US have not experienced that type of leaders before.. And the peopole probely belive that they are blesset not to get the ways of tthe European?.. Belive me when I say that the road to tyrannery and dictatorship is easy when the peopole are not CONTROLLING they government....

Thank you. I do Try to write some proper engelish... Not good, but not hopeless, and that is maybee god enough;)

Wel, I do know some american who can speak norwigian pretty well, they have some problems with some small words, but for the most part they are verry god.. So it is not hopeless to learn another language i guess..

Thank you, have been "reading" DU for a long time, but it is the last month, or so I desided to get a nickname to be more active.. I guess you _need_ some international visitors who can tell you that we dont _hate_ you.. But desagree deeply with the current Administration. I know already that many american do it, but they are in some cases "silenced" in the american media.. God know that the mighty american media have fallen long from the hight tower they once was... Even the bigh newsmagasines/newspaper have been allmoust silenced by _fear_ against to tell the administration some "dangrous" truth... Thats a scary point to make.. The AMERICAN NEWSPAPER allmoust sillenced by a dumb little man from Texas (no offence against texanians) who have floped every thing he have managed to get his hands on.. And now he has the hands on the Presidency in US...

After allowing this to happen after Viet Nam, I'm concerned we don't "learn" much.

If you _want_ you can stop it before you are to learn it the hard way.. It is not to late to stand up, and tell the "power" that they have lost the trust from the peopole and have to go... US managed to do that in the 1770s, why cant you do the same today?... Is the american so afraid about tel the goverment that they HAVE doing the wrong ting..?.

Or it is maybee more that the Administration seriusy can't cear about the wishes of the people anymore.. ?

In US the power are coming _FROM_ the peopole.. Maybee you have to teatch the leades who are the _government_ ?.. THey are elected by the peopole, and have to stand for the shoice at the peopole, and not the special interest from the big coporations..
The US _have get a Revolution before. maybee its time to tell the new "king" that he is not wanted anymore?.. You was fighting the british monark George (2-3) under the war for indepence.. Here you have a new "king" and he is named George he too..

34. Was Bush on crack when he gave this speech? Or is he insane?
Edited on Fri Sep-14-07 10:28 PM by provis99
Or is he even real? Maybe he's just a puppet, with the strings being pulled by hidden neo-cons. Because frankly, those look like the only three alternatives. At first, I though Bush was just either stupid, massively incompetent, or letting Cheney run things, or just plain evil, but now it looks even worse. I thought it couldn't be worse. Bush's speech made me decide: its worse.

I don't know, maybe its rabies or mad cow disease?....
