Edited to add:

p.s. Part of why Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize was for his work 'as U.S. Senator' regarding nuclear proliferation and his promise 'as president' to secure lose nukes around the world which he is doing. The Nobel Peace Prize committee did good :)

1. That was a great interview.
Everyone should see it, so I hope the YouTube and MSNBC clips get shared widely.

Another Obama promise being kept, progressing right on schedule!

2. Pretty AWESOME that Rachel got the exclusive scoop.
She broke the news tonight before anyone else.
The AP didn't have an article up for at least 15-30 minutes after Rachel's interview.

As Vice-President Biden would say: "This is a BIG F'ing Deal" :)
I hope that the 'rest' of the media will report on what President Obama has accomplished regarding the securing of the nukes and that give him the credit that he is due!

7. A definite scoop!
She did a fantastic job and D'Agostino was great, too.

I had to laugh a couple of times when he started to slip into technical jargon, caught himself, and restated in simpler language.

This was definitely an interview designed for educating viewers, and both the interviewer and interviewee were perfect for the task.

3. Fascinating interview.
Just brilliant. I'm so happy to hear that this nuclear material is being retrieved. I'm sure it is being catalogued, and, hopefully, stored so safely that it will never hurt anyone.

By the way, Rachel is the best when it comes to interviewing.

Those who compare her to Glenn Beck should be required to watch this interview and then apologize. Imagine Glenn Beck trying to do the interview in that video. He would not understand a word said.

I think that the criticism of Rachel Maddow is sexist. It is a reaction to the realization that Rachel Maddow is more intelligent than the men anchors on TV -- more intelligent than any of them.

What is confusing to people like Jon Stewart and others who have equated Rachel Maddow with Glenn Beck and extremist TV is the fact that she does not act like other women on TV. She is not constantly trying to seduce her male viewers. Think Barbara Walters and her "Oh, I'm such a lady." or the Fox girls with their heavy make-up and cutesy attempts to be sexy. Nor is Rachel Maddow a parody of maleness like Ann Coulter.

Rachel Maddow is the modern woman on TV.

Jon Stewart should invite her to be a guest on his show. And he should apologize to her for his unseemly, sexist remarks about her Face it, you weren't joking, and sexism is not a joke anyway.

4. First: This is what makes Rachel Maddow a broadcast journalist that comes only once a generation.
Really. Keith Olbermann will be known as the guy who negotiated her first contract. And kudos to him.

Second: ...........................FUCK YOU JOHN KYL and all the rest of your miserable friends who sought to put making our PRESIDENT look bad ahead of OUR country.

I try and never curse. It is so impolite.

Except in situations like this. O8)

5. A friend said she saw a bumper sticker that said "Did you see Rachel last night?"
She's the best reason for having a tv machine in many years.
