With gas prices still hovering at an abysmally high $2.80/gallon and up in this sluggish economy, guess how much gasoline is being used to haul something across the country that you can get for a mere pittance out of your water faucet - or even out of a garden hose?

Penn Jilette and Teller, two of my all-time favorite libertarian magicians, break it all down for your edification.

did not know that.

Our tap water is so heavily chlorinated, it is undrinkable.
Brita filters to the rescue.

8. I've used Brita, but am currently trying a PUR filter

We occasional have problems with sediment as a result of upswell, and the filters work great and cost less than bottled water.

Also, that discovery of hexavalent chromium in the municipal water of Lubbock (?) is way too close for comfort.

7. I buy Pelligrino when it is on special then fill the empty bottles with tap water.

the tap water to me tastes like evian water. I have lived in places where water from the tap tasted bad.

Where their show attracts visitors to fly or drive hundreds and thousands of miles using precious resources. Also on the strip where electrity is wasted like it was going out of style. Working in a casino where people gourge themselves on buffet and wasting food as tehy don't eat it all? That Penn and Teller?
