1. K&R- It was a GREAT idea to not vote to teach the Dems a lesson.
Just fucking GREAT!
It will look even greater in 2012...

3. The GOP is appealing to the stupid base
Lets face, the base of the GOP isn't that bright anymore and this is the result.

4. The wall eyed Virginia Fox is
giving her constituents what they deserve and want, more stupid Americans to align with.
The woman, like the rest of the Republican House delegation, is a disgrace. Gotta wonder what the reading comprehension level is in her district.

5. Does this woman remind you of an old teacher you hated?
She reminds me of several in the 60's who should have taken another profession.

Here are the learning objectives to the constituents of that great banking community suburb in NC:

The voter will be narrow-minded and dull
The voter will vote when issue-driven
The voter will only love Jesus
The voter will keep the gays from voting and teaching our kids

Amen

10. Just watched an adorable Chinese flick
last night, "Please Vote for Me," about a class of @ 2nd graders in China holding a class election - how they deal with this rare exercise in democracy. Aside from the main theme of the film, our family was stuck by how modern China is (who knew?). Also, it appeared that the standard of living - the physical plant of the school, the health of the children, the basic comfort of the homes, even the way the populace looks and dresses walking about the city, was striking, in contrast to the vast swaths of poverty in the U.S.! The notion that came to my mind is that in America we have a handful of obscenely wealthy, whose wealth often seems to become the beacon and icon of America in the minds of people around the world. But these few in fact represent our empire's past. The truth now is that most of America is undereducated, poorly fed, lacking in decent basic health care, etc. Sorry folks but, the rest of the world is passing us by. Sadly, I don't believe we will stop the slide before it happens. On the other hand, what a relief it would be not to have to keep up the false image of the world's Superpower! N'est ce pas?
