6. i get the feeling that the media is purposely being obtuse about the whole point

maher is making. they keep trying to make it sound like maher is saying this guy was a republican who hated democrats and went after them. that is not what he is saying. he is saying that this guy was nuts and was on the edge and that the rhetoric about 2nd amendment remedies and don't retreat reload helped to push him over the edge and in a specific direction. he probably would have done something, but they put that stuff out there like a landmine and wait for it to go off from a safe distance. i don't think the media really wants to make that connection.
