1. David is right that they were getting into the weeds
It's hard to do well when Nathan has the louder mic and can talk over him, but good interview. Nathan seems nuts.

3. shrug -- nathan sounds like a centrist to me.
centrists will give in the idea of a false equivalence -- may even promote it to cozy up to and deflect criticism from the right.

5. The rights of the many should not be impinged because of potential abuses by the very very few...
Interesting choice of argument there- considering that is precisely what the right does when arguing against social programs. Anybody remember St. Ron's image of the 5th generation welfare queen driving the Cadillac? They'd rather have 10 or 20 people go hungry than one get a free lunch (unless he's already rich, of course- then the free lunch he gets is at a 5-star restaurant)
