Media Matters founder David Brock claims that the perpetrators of three recent attacks on public figures were all dedicated viewers of Glenn Beck.

Glad to see this getting more coverage

5. The 3 assassination attempts were...
One was Nancy Pelosi in which a guy was arrested before he could act...I think the other person was Washington Senator Patty Murray who's attacker was arrested before he could act. In both of these cases FOX "News" especially Glenn Beck was mentioned as a huge influence by family & Friends & even the attacker in one of the cases.

And the last one was not on a specific person but the ACLU & The Tides Foundation in San Francisco which a man armed with several guns tons of ammo & body armor was on his way to these groups headquarters to kill as many people as he could but due to a routine traffic stop by the California Highway Patrol he instead got into a 15-20 minute shootout with police where he was shot multiple times but he was wearing body armor so he was not hurt bad if at all...But he was arrested & not only did his family (his Mom) say he watched FOX "News" all the time & would become extremely angered at what he heard but in his jail house interviews with investigators he goes into detail how Glenn Beck was teaching people what the real media was hiding from everyone...He even said he looked at Glenn Beck as a teacher with his blackboard!

The truly disgusting part about this incident is that there is absolutely NO WAY to avoid or divert the blame when it comes to what or who influenced this man to kill...However, since he did not end up killing anyone the mainstream media has simply ignored it! Even now when the this case & all the others that have happened since Obama was elected should be huge news in light of what happened in Arizona the media is AWOL!

I know very few Americans have ever even heard about the ACLU & Tides Foundation would be killer. SAD!

I hope this helps.

10. Ronald Reagan, a Voice of Reason? Hardly.
Ronald Reagan was a "deaf mute" when it came to the greatest medical challenge of our time, Aids, which was killing people by the thousands here in America and Worldwide. Reagan was worthless. Reagan's "shining city on the hill" clearly had a VACANCY sign out only for the priviledged and well-connected. Those suffering? NO VACANCY.

13. Seriously?
You can't see that the reference was to Ron, the former President's son and not the former President?

One is alive, not a former political office holder, progressive, and in the clip.
The other is dead, a former president, right-wing, and not mentioned in the clip.

6. Here is the proof that RW hate speech
leads directly to action. It was also ignored in July 2008 when Jim David Adkisson killed 2 and wounded 4 in front of 25 children on stage at a play held in the Unitarian Universalist Church in Knoxville. His note left no doubt that he wanted to kill all Democrats. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knoxville_Unitarian_Universalist_church_shooting When police searched Adkisson's apartment they found it filled with books and newsletters written by Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and other right-wing hate talkers.

The media gave this very little coverage and there was no discussion about the impact of right wing hate speech in spite of the books found at this home and the content of his letter which can be found here: http://web.knoxnews.com/pdf/021009church-manifesto.pdf

This guy wasn't "nuts." He was unemployed, just had his food stamps reduced, and at 58 didn't want to go on living a life he felt would reduce him to further poverty. In our current economy how many over 50 unemployed right wingers filled with hate for Democrats may be ready to take these same steps?

It's time our Media and leaders wake up and take this seriously before more people die needlessly. If they let this be framed by the RW as the actions of one deranged man it will be back to business as usual and they'll share the responsibility for future needless tragedies.
