Our nation is in peril because the neocon warmongers and the corporatists have
taken over our government. "We The People" are no longer being served. Our
country is run by those who are enriching themselves by causing war. Our leaders
in Congress and the White House are bought and paid for by corporations who are
allowed to run roughshod over the United States citizens (even killing them, eg the
pharmaceutical companies) because they pay politicians money.
We are in peril, Hillary. Our civil rights have been destroyed, in the name of
fighting terrorism. Our government can illegally wiretap us, read our mail, and
snoop through our email messages. We no longer have Habeas Corpus. We can be
detained indefinitely, without counsel or the right to a trial. Any US citizen
can be declared an "enemy combatant" just by opposing the war and this administration.
Torture is now US policy.
In my view, Hillary--we are a country without a Constitution and without civil rights.
We are at the same point that our Founding Fathers were--before the Constitution and the
Bill of Rights were enacted---because we no longer have those things.
Are you prepared to handle this and solve it, Hillary. The answer is absolutely no! You have
done NOTHING to rope in BushCo. You've BARELY spoke about illegal wiretapping and our
government torturing. When Bush began beating the Iran war drum, you trounced around
the country speaking out against Iran and you announced, "War with Iran is not off the table!".
You don't have a cogent plan to bring home the troops now. You don't admit that the Iraq
war was a mistake--when it was clearly based on lies. What have you said about Habeas being
in flames? OH yeah, that's right...NOTHING.
John Dean has spoken out more against Bush than you, and he's a Republican! You rarely
challenge or call out George Bush...the worst, most shameful pResident in US history.
Why is that???
Hillary, you may be prepared to handle the presidency--but the real question is--HOW will you handle
the presidency? Judging from your past behavior and your DEAD SILENCE while our country slides
into Fascism, my guess is that you will do nothing to turn around the sinking ship that is the United States.
I've heard nothing from you on retracting the parts of the Patriot Act that strip us of civil
rights. Richardson and Edwards have said quite a bit on this. You've said nothing about reversing
illegal wiretapping, but Kucinich and others have.
Hillary--you joined the corporatists long ago...and anyone who hasn't figured out that
you're part of the problem--is not paying attention.
So, how can you prepare for the Presidency? My answer is...please don't. We need a real
leader with the vision, desire and tumerity to derail this neocon train from hell and catapult
this country on the right track. YOU, Hillary, are NOT that person.
