because he refused to talk about it incessantly as he was told by his producers. Too much class in this day of Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly. TV is dumbed down and fascist. Who is on the Sunday Morning talk shows? Mostly republicans or moderate/ right wing democrats. Progressives are not represented on TV.

I saw where someone said something about the 'crazy uncle.' I don't see that at all.

I think Maddow probably told them MSNBC they were not going to change her contract to accomodate their decision to force Keith out, but she also probably told her network big wigs unless they did something horrific/insulting/inflammatory she would not speak out about it.

Whatever happened, I hope if Keith's contract keeps him off-(television) air like Conan for a few months...I hope it doesn't keep him off internet broadcasting like Young Turks or some other creative venue where he needs a low capital base to give his opinion or his take on the news.
