At an appearance of Meet the Press on Sunday, January 23, David Gregory asked Majority Leader Eric Cantor if he is willing "to tackle the entitlement of Social Security." Failing to get an answer from Cantor, Gregory pointed out that Republicans have asked Rep. Paul Ryan to respond to the President's State of the Union address -- a man who proposed a plan that would essentially end Social Security.

1. I'd rather put my money under my mattress,
as my Grandma did before the Stock Market crash and the Great Depression, than "invest" in a 401K.

2. Your grandma
had a great run with S.S. She never missed getting a payment. So would you if the Repukes would get off the "Read My Lips..." bullshit and remove the cap on SS contributions.

3. It's as if they do not see the consequences of their evil plan
and if Obama buys this, this country will be one big old people's concentration camp just like nutcase Michelle Bachmann has said- not so ridiculous now, I guess. The Repugles are trying to fool people in order to get their own prophecy fulfilled. Rich people function in their protected places- they don't ever see the slums. That's where these legislators imagine themselves to belong. Obama included, apparently.

6. Just let them run on cutting social security.
The house majority would end next election.

This is why Obama's murky stance on social security is troubling. It is our huge advantage. It can remain our huge advantage unless Obama wishes to destroy the Democratic Party.
