3. THAT is what a journalist is supposed to do.
Upon hearing horseshit, a)identify it as horseshit; b)nail the person who's trying to spread the horseshit.

Do not let anyone try to say it isn't horseshit.

Apologies to all horses and their shit, which by the way is great fertilizer.

34. Since Bachmann specifically mentioned John Quincy Adams,
Edited on Wed Jan-26-11 10:21 PM by JDPriestly
who was the youngest of the people she named as "Founding Fathers," he lived only until 1848 --- years before the Civil War ended.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Quincy_Adams

He was anti-slavery, one of the earliest important leaders to speak out:

Adams was elected a U.S. Representative from Massachusetts after leaving office, the only president ever to do so, serving for the last 17 years of his life with far greater success than he had achieved in the presidency. Animated by his growing revulsion against slavery<4>, Adams became a leading opponent of the Slave Power and argued that if a civil war ever broke out the president could abolish slavery by using his war powers, a correct prediction of Abraham Lincoln's use of the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863. Adams predicted the dissolution of the Union on the slavery issue, though he mistakenly predicted that if the South became independent there would be a series of bloody slave insurrections.<5>

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Quincy_Adams

But, quite frankly, John Quincy Adams is the historical proof that slavery was not abolished by the Founding Fathers. Had it been, then Adams would not have needed to talk about how to get rid of it.

While I am at it I must plug the Unitarian religion. Here goes. Forward-thinking John Quincy Adams was a Unitarian.

11. 21 generations? 21 nations?

2011-1776=235

A generation is considered 25 years

235 divide by 25 = 9.4 generations

21 nations? ...... oh shit just never mind.

33. Not in Bachmanopolis, where the One Brain-Celled Man is King
The only way we can be in the 21st Generation is if a Generation is about 12 years.

Anyone have a clue why Bachman thinks a generation is 12 years?

How about this? -

In the menstrual cycle, changes occur in the female reproductive system as well as other systems (which lead to breast tenderness or mood changes, for example). A woman's first menstruation is termed menarche, and occurs typically around age 12.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menstrual_cycle

A generation is the time it takes for women to reach the minimum average age of child birth? What exactly does that say about our Tea Baggin' friends (other than the obvious - that they're idiots)???

15. yep
was laughing yesterday watching it. Sal was just creepy but Bachmann is Palin's twin. Like the saying goes "better to be thought a fool then to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Last night on Twitter Andy Borowits tweeted:
'To tweet about POTUS type SOTU: To tweet about Bachmann type STFU' :patriot:

16. It's about time someone
held these babbling bigots to account. They all do the same thing when they can't answer a question. They stay on script and keep changing the subject or they keep employing the Goebbels principle of repeating the lie.
They're abnormal. Normal people do not respond the way they do.
They give good cause to write them off and ignore them. Their specious positions are a cheap cover for bigotry.

24. I stopped watching Tweety months ago...
He had Dick Army and Joan Walsh on, and when DICK started spewing his pompous, misogynistic, bile at Joan, Tweety said nothing, just let him go on trying to humiliate her. I was so angry I almost threw the remote (among other things) and smashed the TV. Joan, to her credit, was professional and restrained. She always is. She's smarter than DICK or Sal, or Tweety, for that matter.

Glad to see Tweety sticking up for her.

Joan also got it all along and it shows. She said what everyone should answer these "deficit' idiots- they just want to get in the news cycle and recruit more idiots. Bachmann, Palin, and all the rest of these ignoramuses in a world all their own.

32. Ay Yay Yay!
Why do Teabaggers and GOPers always speak in "code"? When they're meaning is about the debt left to our children, they talk about slavery instead. ..and get that wrong. Somehow that really means the deficit is too high and it's Obama's fault.
Anyway, that's what they want us to believe.

Why did Michele get it wrong?

Because she doesn't know what she's talking about.

And she's your spokesperson.

Period.

This is delightfully the only conclusion one can come away with from this video.

I bet you if Obama was to endorse every idea the Tea Party wants but said it was his idea they would be proposing Single payer Health Care, Raising the Minimum wage to $15.00 an hour and to give amnesty to every so called illegal alien.
