6. Fuck, not the WHO song again
I hope they are collecting Royalties for ever DU references.

I'm for legalization,

I just think you claiming "we are broken . . . can he gove an honest answer aobut anything?" is hyperbolic.

It is way too apocalyptic.

9. Actually in thinking this over and hearing "I ain't voting for him" all day long
I kind of think he did better than most in even adressing this issue. he did not last year when held the same type of Q and A on YouTube despite it leading again. So at least he got it out there and I seriously doubt that any other candidate would have brought it up.

2. Here is another video in which he clearly makes a promise regarding MM he did not keep:
Barack Obama and Medical Marijuana (interview Q&A)

You're welcome to watch the whole video but the "point" of the video (in the context of our discussion) is the last 30 seconds or so, where he makes it clear that his DOJ would not be spending resources to "circumvent state laws" on the issue.

And that's just exactly what his DOJ has been doing. This may seem like a small issue, and in a way it is, but it's typical of a number of things in which his hand isn't being forced- he simply breaks a campaign promise that he could fulfill if he wished.

5. The pot spammers get real fucking annoying.
Yes, it has been obvious for a long time that there's an organized effort to push pot questions to the top of all these forums by the White House. It distorts the process in a way that unfairly shouts out everyone else. It's spam and it's fucking lame. They are the reason we can't have nice things.

Obama said no. That's a plain, honest answer. You don't like his answer but there's nothing dishonest about it. Get the fuck over it.

8. Not spammers in the traditional sense no..
But organized efforts by citizens to push the questions to the front yes that is what they are. For a lot of us, this is the big question/issue. Probably more than anything else right now, for me. It is the one thing that I think I can change something, the rest of the shit is out of my hands.....

WASHINGTON, DC -- A video question about legalizing drugs from a former deputy sheriff has come in first place in YouTube's "Your Interview with the President" competition, where users submitted and voted on questions to be posed to President Barack Obama.

Obama is scheduled to answer the top-voted questions today, Thursday, Jan. 27, at 2:30 PM EST in an interview that will be streamed live online at http://www.youtube.com/askobama

this is a year old clip. Yes hes not to eager to dismantle the war on drug programs just like other wars we are fighting. Personally, I rather see him end the real wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan, and somalia before touching this.

I don't smoke pot, but I have brains and use resoning. Every study any legitimate government or organization has done on this issue comes to the conclusion . . ."why is this stuff illegal?"
That means he is afraid to stand up for what is right, as usual.

18. K&R
He wasn't "talking around" the issue nor speaking "honestly" in this instance:

February 2009 - Federal raids on medical marijuana distributors continued at least into the second week of Barack Obama’s presidency, when federal agents shut down at least two dispensaries in California on Feb. 3. Holder was asked about those raids Wednesday in Santa Ana, Calif., at a news conference that was called to announce the arrests of 755 people in a nationwide crackdown on the U.S. operations of Mexican drug cartels. He said such operations would no longer be conducted.

“What the president said during the campaign ... will be consistent with what we will be doing here in law enforcement,” he said. “What (Obama) said during the campaign ... is now American policy.” Obama indicated during the presidential campaign that he supported the controlled use of marijuana for medical purposes, saying he saw no difference between medical marijuana and other pain-control drugs.

“My attitude is if the science and the doctors suggest that the best palliative care and the way to relieve pain and suffering is medical marijuana, then that’s something I’m open to,” Obama said in November 2007 at a campaign stop in Audubon, Iowa. “There’s no difference between that and morphine when it comes to just giving people relief from pain.”
