2. Any kind of dowsing is pretty much bogus

Double-blind tests show it every time.

4. Anti-theft tags are probably lousy for bomb detection too.

5. What's truly "bogus" about this is that a "reporter" did a story on this.

To me this is more revealing about just how bogus the media can be. No one takes this seriously, so why report on it? Nuts.

I have ancestor who "dowsed"'for wells etc. My wife, a doctor and medical researcher, noticed that our entire family have unusually acute hearing and freakishly big eardrums ( about 4 times normal sized). Our theory on the family history of walking around fields with sticks to find good spots to dig wells is that they could hear the water.

I don't do the stick thing but I can hear a bat fart at 100 paces. I can hear if a car is out of tune (not to mention an instrument) or what is wrong with any moving part.

But the detect a bomb thing? Maybe someone has a sensitive snooter? But more sensitive than a dog? Doubtful.
