2. I consiter myself Christian... |
|
and I believe that people can worship God in may way, shapes and forms. I believe that if people are good and do good deeds they go to heaven because in each good deed they do the will of God. I also believe that bringing people to believe in Christianity is important...just like teaching anyone the truth is good. But that does not mean that we should demean and slight people who believe in other things. What makes missionary work a bad thing is trying to force people to believe, instead of just informing them of what we believe. That's the way it should be for all religions. I really wish we could live in a world where a Muslim, a Jew, a Wiccan, a Christian, a Buddhist, ect. could all sit down and simply discuss the way we see things without pointing fingers about who is right and who is wrong...because who are we to say that the other is wrong? We can believe that we believe in the truth…but if your talking to someone who believe just as strongly as you do but in their own religion an argument will never end.
That’s what they refuse to see. Or at least that’s the way it has always seemed to me.

3. There are so many fallacies in the views of these folks |
|
It would take a book the size of the Oxford dictionary to refute them all. The biggest lie is that Islam worships a different God. It doesn't. Their God is the God of Abraham; the same one that Jews and Christians worship.
To say the things this General has said just proves that a truly ignorant man can become a highly-placed soldier.
It also proves that the folks who are planning to convert the Iraqis have no idea what they're trying to do, or why. These folks haven't one damn clue about Islam, not the good or the bad, and the fact that they are over there, trying to convert these folks and talking about their own martyrdom proves that they should all be institutionalized.
It's a personal opinion that mankind took a wrong turn when we decided there was but one God, and He was male, but I digress.
