America is losing the war of words, to new players - RT being one of them. U.S. top diplomat Hillary Clinton has lamented that foreign English-language media is putting home-grown news networks to shame. She's asked Congress for more cash to promote America's agenda abroad. But media professor Christopher Chambers doubts the money will produce balanced reporting.

1. The simple answer
to regaining American "news" audiences (and They know it) is to REINSTATE THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE. Hard to push propaganda though....

2. So its saying America wants to Buy-off Foreign News with Cash to Fake Positive News About USA? WTF?
Edited on Fri Mar-04-11 11:45 AM by vroomvroom
Is this what it has come down to? It sounds to me she is saying that corporatizing the news was a good thing and the only way to make america look good is to be able to buy-off these foriegn news agencies, in effect, making them more like american news so as to nutralize their stinging effect of real jornalism.

Stay Classy America.

3. Orwell Rolls in his Grave (Full 3HR Documentary)
From the very size of the media monopolies and how they got that way to who decides what gets on the air and what doesn’t, ORWELL ROLLS IN HIS GRAVE moves through a troubling list of questions and news stories that go unanswered and unreported in the mainstream media.

ORWELL ROLLS IN HIS GRAVE reminds us that 1984 is not just a date in the future.

4. We have corporatized propaganda posing as news and that's the fundamental problem.
Kicked and recommended.

Thanks for the thread Charleston Chew.
