4. I remember those days too well

There wasn't a liberal voice to be found on TV and Matthews was kissing every right-winger's ass. Now that a Democrat is in the White House, he is Mr. Liberal.

I do have to commend him on his segment about Obama. He really nailed it and I think he was totally sincere. Barack Obama is the great American success story. The right can't find any real reason to criticize him, so they make things up. I know there is an element of racism there, but looking back, they've done it to other popular Democrats. The only thing they hate more than the left, is losing.

6. A key to understanding Tweety is this.....

he's got some sort of deep masculinity issue and loves the aspect of men being MEN. In ways he's a conflicted man - in the Peace Corp, but also a former Park Dist police officer; a political operative/adviser wonk, but also a host of a "hard talking" rough and rumble political show.

He's two sides of a masculinity coin and loves it when he can see men act like men - remember the earlier gushing over Bush's Mission Accomplished photo op? I remember before it was clear that that photo op was going to fail how much he praised Bush for being a "man".
