Then the "Colin Powell did the speech..." we have known for a while that Powell rejected the first version of the speech and was given the one he did do with not enough time to check it out. This is not meant as cover for Powell he is off my list anyway but he was used then and now as cover for themselves.

I think the question about a civilian running the invasion was in reference to Douglas Feith. "The dumbest SOB I have ever met" said Gen. Tommy Franks of Feith. Feith was unaborted later born twin of Rummy- a total toadie.

Rummy says that no one was waterboarded and Gitmo. The DoD didn't do any of the waterboarding. He plays innocent as if he had no influence over what the CIA did -they were all in the same room and he and Dick dominated the meetings. THEN he says "only 3 people" were waterboarded. So you only robbed 3 banks?? Is that okay? You broke the law and should be in jail.

The Duelfer does mention WMD but states clearly that it was like suddenly making Coca-Cola from a muffler shot. Yes they COULD have done it but it was not likely. Plus biological weapons mostly have to be administered person to person which doesn't happen on a battlefield especially a tank maneuver battlefield. We also know from "Fiasco" (and this is a known-known for Rummy) that Operation Desert Fox the supposed "Wag the dog" operation during the impeachment nonsense actually wiped out the whole operation. We either got unbelieveable intel or, more likely, we got lucky with some really good educated guesses and cleared the board on WMD in Iraq. Rummy knows that if I do. He was lying in this interview.

Good interview - Napolitano does from time to time really set it straight. I like the guy. He was well prepared for the interview and I didn't see him going to notes once. I didn't even see any notes.
