From the blog Uppity Wisconsin, video and text by Steve Wagener. //Check out http://uppitywis.org/ for a great progressive blog.

Both sides of the street where the hotel entrance is, were lined with over 1000 people protesting Scott Walker's budget bill. Inside where the AFP rally was taking place, was a "standing room only" crowd of about 100 people.

Both the AFP host, Matt Seaholm and Wurzelbacker referenced the large crowd outside when speaking to the Tea Baggers. Seaholm stated, "The crowd outside is refusing to let State Representative Warren Petryk of Wisconsin's 93rd Assembly District through the gauntlet that the protesters outside had formed." He then introduced "Joe the Plumber".

Wurzelbacker said to the Tea Baggers, "Tea Partyers are bunch of individuals, coming together to share what we can do best for our country, what is best for our state. Out there they are all about me. That's the problem, they are all about me. Now don't get me wrong, there is a lot of good people out there, they are scared because they have had that guarantee most of their work life. Most of us don't have that guarantee, most of us have to work hard."

After Wurzelbacker's short talk, Seaholm once again asked for Warren Petryk if he had arrived. When there was no response Seaholm once again mentioned that he thought Petryk had likely been detained by the crowd of protesters outside.

As things started winding down in the meeting I left to find Warren Petryk. I found him outside. I found Mr. Petryk surrounded by people asking him questions. I got my question in and he answered. See the attached video. -saw-Both sides of the street where the hotel entrance is, were lined with over 1000 people protesting Scott Walker's budget bill. 1. Wurzelbacker?
When did the Koch boys put him back on the payroll? Maybe they didn't. Maybe he decided to take time off from his hard, underpaid, no benefits work as a non-union plumber he's so proud of to go up there on his own dime.

3. I do not believe he is really a plumber either.
I think he's on the D list of the grifter circuit below A list celebrities like Momma Grizzly and Newt for Loot Gingrich.

5. NotJoe the NotPlumber who is NotFromWisconsin: "That's the problem, they are all about me"
Look who's talking.
Hasn't anyone informed him his 15 minutes are up? Of course, he is getting paid.

UppityWisconsin is doing a good job. Nice follow up by tracking down Petryk for the truth.

Thanks for posting, Jackpine Radical.

6. I was there. No one blocked his entrance. He voluntarily
stayed outside to talk to people. He is a Republican but at least he was honest.

7. You're exactly right. I talked to some of the people who had been
"detaining" him with questions.

Incidentally, are you plugged-in to the EC progressive scene? Do you know about the discussions surrounding some new communication efforts?

Check out this meeting:

Locally there has been a growing interest in trying to establish a bi-weekly or monthly Progressive Journal to gather, promote and disperse progressive ideas and ideals in our community. So we are planning to have an exploratory meeting to put this idea of a Progressive Newspaper, blog spot & website together as a business plan and see if there are enough like minds to share the load... and work the idea. Please consider attending and sharing your ideas of how we can put Progress ideas into words & other forms of media to share with our community .

MARCH 9th – 7PM at Racy D’lene’s on Water St

There were about 30 people there this past week.
