Watch Cenk on MSNBC from 6-7pm Eastern (3-4pm PT) weekdays.

Summary: Cenk Uygur speaks with former Rep. David Obey (D-WI) about Governor Scott Walker and the protests in Wisconsin. Could Walker be recalled?

1. Hope they do recall him.

2. Why bother with a recall?
With electronic voting, Walker and many of these thugs probably never won in the first place.

As long as we have the same voting process in place there is no hope that the outcome will reflect the will of the people.

And it will continue to happen again and again and again...

3. The recall movement is already in progress ...
... laying the groundwork. See facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/#!/RecallScottWalker that's been around for a month already.

OT (sorta) ... I'd really like to like Cenk but he reminds me too much of 'Cake Boss' Buddy Valastro who's over-animated like he's on a combo of Red Bull & crack and seems almost like he's portraying an SNL caricature of a real news jockey.

9. However, he was able to keep his ego sufficiently in check to allow
Obey to have his say without pointless interruption.

13. I thought that according to Wisconsin law
any elected official could be recalled, but only after serving a year of their term. In which case they couldn't be rid of Walker through the recall process yet. And that bird could do a lot of damage in a year's time, and probably will.

4. Why bother with a recall
Hound the son of a bitch until he resigns. Surround his home and office and make him know he's not wanted. Make him leave the state and move to the Confederacy with the rest of the right wing loons.
He is a proponent of slavery.

8. Because the sonofabitch is impervious to common decency.
Right now he seems to think that any attention, positive or negative, lifts his fortunes in the eyes of the right-wing crazies.

5. I didn't realize that collective bargaining for teachers was off set by
teachers not striking... In Ohio last week they passed a law making it illegal to strike... These wage crushers have thought about all the tools they need to hold the working class hostage....

7. ALL strikes used to be illegal.
That's why there are all those stories of the cops & National Guard being called in on strikes, often with bloody results.

Winning the right to strike was one of the first major victories of organized labor.

6. Dave Obey has a secure place in my personal hall of all-time great
Wisconsin politicians. It was a great pleasure and honor to vote for him all those years. BTW, last time I saw him was in a bathroom in Chippewa Falls in January, and I can assure you he does not employ a wide stance.
