that she had the courage to say the obvious. King's hearings are way beyond the pale. He is just trying to harm the reputations of people because of their heritage and religious beliefs. Shame on him.

Many of the earliest Europeans in our country were Puritans who left their homes to settle here because they wanted to escape religious persecution.

We have a tradition of religious tolerance.

Ms. Lee is correct. It would be appropriate to investigate the broader issue of terrorism, but to focus solely on a minority religious sect is wrong and probably violates the spirit if not the letter of our Constitution.
