2. stop it
great footage - but as i understand it, that explosion was part of efforts gain control of the situation

the evac zone is 20 kilometers and the plant 10 kilo north of it is also at 20 kilo for a total of 30 kilos north and south and 20 inland - not 70 miles which would be 112.65 kilo.

5. It is a shame how many people are jumping to conclusions...
almost as if they would like to see a full meltdown for political reasons...I would sure hope this is not the case. Every video & breaking news story is full of this "World is Fucked" stuff.

Plus, this reactor is very old technology & the newer reactors are truly much safer. Of course anything man made can go wrong but we can't compare this reactor to the new ones to be built here.

And it took a 8.9 Earthquake with a massive Tsunami to get this one to this point...The question I would have if I lived in Japan would be why this plant did not have some type of Tsunami protection built into the facility.

stop it from happening.. so it most likely was not a "Controlled Release" of something safe

there are NO FUCKING EXCUSES you are deluded as the people that built that one. the industry is is not as safe as the people mot likely to suffer the consequences of their being wrong think it is.

hopefully this will limit all new reactors to the Pebble Bed Design, but Campaign Contributions, formerly known as BRIBES, will continue the Big Money reactors that the tax payers end up paying for up the nose and in the ass. 3 mile island was a cover up, nothing learned there.

sorry i was a Parole Officer, i still get a little bent when people con me trying to 'explain away' bullshit. i don't like being conned.

9. Have no idea what you are talking about...
I said nothing that was not true...I must assume you meant to reply to someone else. You made a bunch claims as if I said it & I said nothing like that.

8. This is not political. Leaked radiation doesn't care if you are a Republican or a Democrat.

12. Question - location of video explosion on this picture.
Can anyone pinpoint on this picture below where the explosion happened?

I've been looking all night at the video(s) of the explosion at the nuclear power plant and its location on the ariel photo of the power plant. Has anyone else looked to figure out where the explosion occurred on an ariel photo or map. With all the media around the area, it seems we are only seeing one angle of the explosion and to me, all video seems to come from one camera. Because of this its tough to find that exact explosion point on the ariel photo. I also can't tell if some of the buildings are off the arial photo.

To me I guess it is directly above the highest (top) whit Japanese letter/words on the center of the map, the past of the next square building (going towards the top) and in the white area between the two final square buildings at the top. Any thoughts?

If you do figure out the spot, anyone know what that area is?

Here is the website the picture came from.
