2. Why is it I'm finding that so hard to believe?
There was a major explosion at a nuclear power plant and it's nothing, nothing important, nothing at all. Really? I do recall that when Three Mile Island occurred, those in charge systematically lied about the amount of radiation that was leaked. At least in Japan they're enlarging the evacuation area, which indicates even if I'm totally wrong, being suspicious for no good reason at all, authorities in Japan are taking the risk quite seriously. And that's good.

8. Last night radioactive cesium was detected
Edited on Sat Mar-12-11 01:00 PM by FedUpWithIt All
This pointed to a partial meltdown as it is produced by nuclear chain reaction.

I would expect that an explosion would sort of dispense some of the previously accumulated atmospheric radiation and lead to lower readings for a short time but that is just a hunch.

4. On THIS issue on must remember NBC =GE, GE= nuclear power
Edited on Sat Mar-12-11 11:36 AM by abqmufc
It is the only logic I can give as to why MSNBC ignored the story all night (West Coast prime time) and aired a story on prison life, while every other station pre-empted their shows to go live on this story.

Even the Japanese government stated levels rose to a level that one hour exposure equaled a year's worth of normal exposure. Look at every other media source and they give a different account of the release.

6. At this point you can't ignore the story (NBC)
So they have to cover it in my opinion. But it was odd to me that MSNBC didn't follow the other news networks from 8 PM till 11 PM mountain time and break from scheduled programing. Instead MSNBC ran irrelevant (compared to current global news) taped Friday night news special.

Thanks for mentioning Mr. Witt, I'll had to find the video.

11. That's the way I see it too. We have no idea what's really going on,
but we can use our own abstract reasoning to determine what is and what is not truth.
