1. yep
Torrent file sharing(mostly illegal downloads) take up more than 50% of internet traffic. Plus the reason why its hard for people(like me) to understand is because we are trying to fix a projected problem which atm is absent without any legislation preventing it. So until these internet providers start blocking or slowing down cntent, you ain't going to get the majority of the voters on board.

"trying to fix a projected problem which atm is absent without any legislation preventing it. So until these internet providers start blocking or slowing down cntent,"

If that really is why people are not up in arms over this issue then we are screwed. Once net neutrality is gone it will never be restored. We only have one chance and it is now!

8. our net is neutral, everyone gets the same internet
Edited on Thu Mar-17-11 08:24 AM by Charleston Chew
We The People and our elected officials are who and what imposed it (net neutrality) back in the early 90's

When our net is no longer neutral then that is when websites like Democratic Unerground, The Young Turks, The David Pakman Show, The Majority Report w/ Sam Seder and the people who visit them will understnad what a pay to play internet is all about.

Corporations with big pockets get to use the fast lane in a pay to play internet.

All of my DU post about net neutrality have links to additional information about net neutrality. Everything you could ever need to know about a neutral net is contained in my post here on DU.

Just follow the links.

3. Let's end road neutrality today.
You know that road that runs by your house? I've just purchased the rights to it from your town. If you want to use it, you'll have to pay me. And I get to set the fees.
