2. That was the first impression I had of Biden |
|
over three years ago when I watched him on MTP. He didn't speak like a typical politician, he spoke like a knowledgeable statesman. He tells you the truth instead of what he thinks you want to hear.

|
email these great videos to people you know. Blog on Joe's behalf. Send him money if you can. He CAN win the nomination if people who like him step up and insist he can win. I can't wait to get a hold of his speech on the senate floor today... 59% of democratic voters recently said they haven't enough exposure to form an opinion of biden. It's up to people in the know who support him to get debate videos like out there! God knows the msm won't...

but we forget the undecideds are still looking and listening. Nothing has clicked with them as yet. Biden could be the one to do that.

9. Absolutely. We must not give up. |
|
Biden is no further behind than Clinton and Carter were at this point in their elections. Anything you can do to help, helps. Any contribution you can make. Blogging. Word of mouth. A bumper sticker. Letters to the editor. I've been advocating him to friends and family and have won a few people over. It's usually the same reaction. They haven't paid him much attention until...someone brings him to their attention or they see a certain video clip. Once people start to pay attention, the more the learn about him the more he becomes the obvious choice. The things I hear brought up against Biden are all small potatoes compared to the other candidates, what he brings to the table, and what is currently going on with our country. He would be very hard to beat.

5. I think the buzz will gradual build |
|
and that could be a good thing. The frontrunners have gotten so much media, that they are constantly under intense scrutiny. The lower tiered candidates will gain some ground in Iowa in the next few months and will come across as "new and fresh" to voters who will have burned out on the top three.

7. Wow. He just lays it out there |
|
Exactly! He cuts through the malarkey and just tells it like it is. Thank you, tsegat01. I probably would have missed that clip if not for you. Everyone should watch that. Man, how refreshing it would be to have him as our president. Someone who tells it like it is. Everyone else sounds so scripted. He gained some converts in that debate.

11. When I fell asleep last night, |

I dreamt about politics ALL friggin' night. I would like to have a life where politics was only part of it, not all of it, all the time. With the right leader, I might be able to focus on others things now and then. I see that kind of a leader in Joe Biden.

24. LOL, I certainly can relate to this post of yours, tsegat01 - unfortunately. |
|
It's because things have gotten threateningly bad. The Republicans have just lost their friggin' minds. They seem to practice the things they most vehemently oppose. They're dangerously reckless, starting wars when it seems like it will be "not that big a deal." I've actually heard Republicans voice opinions that come dangerously close to suggesting that the ideals of our Founding Fathers have become antiquated, obsolete. Post 9/11 America is different and we have to do things differently. Hell, why not just get rid of the Constitution and start over, letting Republicans make the new rules. It would be like the new Nazis, but they would argue otherwise, and see it as being more "American" than what was bequeathed to us by our nation's founders. Lord help us.

8. What you see is what you get, period -- not changing with the wind. |

With his personality and experience, I can see him effectively and productively communicating with foreign leaders. I can hear him saying "look, folks, we've got a problem and it's going to take both of us to make it better for our countries."

He'd make us proud again, when he goes visiting abroad. He would leave them with the impression, "Now that's an American!". We've got to get him elected.

they loved it.
And he owed Richardson the comment about SoS. Richardson has been saying that about Joe in every debate.
Good stuff!

... but exactly why do you think Richardson is better than the others? Especially Biden, who out-debates him every time? And DO NOT point to his list of different job titles he never fails to rattle off as a reason to believe he's right. Something of substance, please...

23. I agree that Richardson has an aura of trust and likability. And he does have |
|
experience in the foreign arena. But Biden has more experience, and from how audiences react, anyway, a better, more natural rapport with people. I'm sticking with Biden.
