Hey Joe: State Senator Joe Seng on Joe Biden at AARP Forum |
|
First Iowa senator to endorse Joe Biden. Very effective endorsement.

1. That's impressive -- what a powerful endorsement. Senator Seng has |
|
experience, and knows a good potential President when he sees one. As he said, he didn't endorse ANYONE in the previous election, so his praise and support of Biden means a lot.

Why should I vote for Biden? This didn't tell me anything, other than some senator from Iowa likes him. But I do appreciate anybody who shares something on here :)

12. I could start with his stance on civil rights... |
|
Believing that gay people shouldn't be allowed to get married. How soon we forget that "separate but equal" is truly discriminatory and totally unacceptable. Americans deserve equal treatment under the law and I cannot support somebody who believes otherwise.

4. Maybe one way to clarify the primaries |
|
and streamline things is to have an honest primary for Veep, except that is contradictory. There are many choices available for veep using many methodologies, depending on whether the person chosen has a like or need that favors certain people. Many recent Veep choices have been rivals who offered some service or lowering of resistance to the candidate winning the first spot and who may have proved their compatibility and vote getting on the national trail. And proved they are no vote rival to numero uno.
Heaven forfend that I should suggest that Richardson, Biden and Dodd are going the limit merely to vie for spot number two, based on realism and logic. Vilsack might have been driven out of that suppositional Veepstakes by realizing not delivering Iowa would sink his further career options like the Titanic. It is just that, in comparison, the Kuchinich effort seems more believable and wholly focused on the presidential nomination with no possible interpretation that there is a veep option in the cards anywhere.

5. I'm not sure that I ... |

I don't get your point. I assume you are from the edwards camp and trying to discredit the presidential aspirations of Dodd, Biden, and Richardson?

to see them sparring against each other than Hillary. I suppose it is unfair and short sells the dedicated determination- against all odds- by seasoned leaders.

8. It's getting to the point in the campaign season when the gloves are going to start coming off. |
|
Maybe some of us appreciate the fact that Hillary is getting questioned.
All of the candidates should be questioned. Unless they are ashamed to answer?

9. Biden did take a jab at hillary, firstly, and... |
|
... Hillary doesn't really say anything of substance that can be attacked. She's the front-runner, not taking jabs at anyone, talks in these nice-sounding generalities, and says how great dems are and how bad repubs are. She doesn't put herself out in a way that leaves her open. That's why it's hard to attack her.

10. That about sums it up |

She really does play it safe. It is hard to nail her on anything.
