3. Sometimes, I disagree with him

I don't think there's anything irrational about holding a faith and it's just as dumb to look down on believers as it is to look down on athiests. That said, unless a potential president's faith includes hacking up virgins, who gives a crap?

If said candidate is like Bush, who has said explicitly that he thinks God is talking to him and that God wants him to wage war in Iraq and Gad will ultimately win the war for us, I want none of that.

I certainly support the right of any American to have a faith and practice it in their private lives. It is possible for a person to believe in holy spirits and also be rational in most other areas. I have voted for many a candidate that I thought passed that test, and Maher undoubtedly has too.

6. Did anybody catch Janin Garofalo's..

Did you guys catch Janine Garofalo's comments on the Israeli Palestinian conflict? She was great. Discussion about this subject is so one sided in this country. The Israeli government has invaded it's neighbors,holds over 1000 prisoners who are also being tortured without charges has attacked civilians and medical camps, and has been roundly criticized for it's behavior by international human rights groups. She made an excellent point. Of course i might be biased because i also think she's totally adorable.
