Union members made some serious concessions when the American automotive industry was tanking, and in return, they expected management to do the same. It turns out that Ford’s CEO Alan Mulally received a $60 million bonus this past year, as the average auto worker was making less than $20 an hour. Mike Papantonio appears on Fox Business’s Follow The Money to discuss the issue.

1. I usually love Pap but not so much in this exchange. Why does he even
go on Fox?

Four against one?

They all so ignorant that they interrupt him and talk over him. No one could adequately deal with all those asses but I would like to have seen a little more of the old Pap fire in trying to combat them.

8.  I agree. We need our own

thoroughly biased 100% liberal TV station.

I mean it. I'm dead serious.

Why would Papantonio subject himself to this abuse? Regular Fox watchers won't be convinced by his arguments anyway. It serves no good purpose.

2. I'm sure he feels worth it. I feel he isn't.
At the very least, he is looting the company of money that should have gone to shareholders.

3. Yikes!
That was an excellent example of paid-for corporate talking heads aggressively pushing propaganda. They don't discuss, they verbally overwhelm. I could barely get through that load of childish noise making.

Papantonio did his best to get points across, but the gang was on him relentlessly, pushing their master's agitprop. While some people may buy that load of horse feathers, there are others who may just see that all you have to do is listen to the Faux News androids to understand the game plan and intentions of our worst enemy ever, corporatism. It is rearing its ugly head and may prove to be the greatest enemy we have ever faced!

McPravada at its finest! I have little respect for those who can't see the tactics or understand what is going on. They will continue to watch and absorb the social engineering that will be the instructions for their own destruction.

Solidarity! A revolution of evolution. Time to get the picture and connect.

4. Disgusting!
Disgusting how the faux bots defend this arrogant ceo's bonus!

$60,000,000!? Really!???

If, for example, the common worker even got a $1000 bonus, that's a 60,000 to 1 ratio!!! That's crazy!

5. "In capitalist America,...You earn it, you keep it!"
Unless you -- of course -- are a firefighter, policeman, teacher, janitor, cashier, clerk, construction worker, factory worker or any other job deemed too menial by today's financial elite. Then their mantra changes to "You earn it, we take it!".

6. Key Words
"If you earn it, you keep it"

IMHO I don't think that any of the over paid CEOs have "Earned it". In the financial sector, many have stolen it. Not the same as earning.

7. Just follow the money
See if Ford puts it in an offshore account and take them over for avoiding taxes.
That's what the RICO act is for, and while the government is at it, put every corporation and CEO
who does this under a RICO indictment.
But nooooo, they'd rather get every drop of ours first.

9. Thank you Fox
That was a perfect illustration of the right's attitude toward the working class. Not that it will illustrate anything to right wingers, but I'm going to be re-posting this video a lot.

10. Oh, but he's wrong here.
While I won't attempt to justify how a CEO earns $50m, Ford employees(each and every one) received profit sharing checks this month averaging $5,000 - for the first time in several years(Last year was only $450.):

http://www.abcactionnews.com/dpp/money/auto_news/Ford-hourly-workers-get-2010-profit-sharing-checks-wxyz1300043181580

The UAW and Ford are set to begin negotiating a new contract as well, and hopefully all concessions made by employees from around 2005-2008 will be restored. Now, if that doesn't happen, I'd have some harsh words about Mulally's $50m.

11. Sounds nice
But a check for $5,000 isn't that big of a deal when the starting wages for these employees were cut in half. So yeah, the get $5,000 this month, but their annual salary was reduced by about $20,000, so that's a pretty crappy trade off. And it was $60 million, not $50 million.
