Al Jazeera has received video which appears to show soldiers loyal to Muammar Gaddafi beating pro-democracy fighters who they had detained.

The footage was taken last week during battles near Ajdabiya.

Some people may find the scenes in Al Jazeera's Alan Fisher's report distressing.



This is a rare chance to witness the kind of fear they have been living under for the past 42 years.

On how long the Libyan Army remains loyal. Once the generals decide the rebels have the upper hand there will be a shift of power and the generals will want to side with the winners.

2. What a horrible nightmare. But America doesn't have jobs, doesn't have homes.

We need to take care of the Americans first.

Because you goddamn-well know who's going to feed and cloth the worst-off of us if we don't: Nobody. Borrowing money to give to other people in hopes that they'll adopt our ideology, and letting that ideology become a joke, will never get us what our government apparently thinks it will.

Not the Americans, not even the Libyans- nobody grows fat. Only the arms manufacturers really prosper in this sick environment.
