2. OK so Obama is the new Hitler around here. Wow.
I thought I didn't like him for specific reasons- the shitty healthcare sell out to big Pharma, hospitals and insurers - the aborted reform of Wall St. with no serious criminal investigation - the doubling down on quagmire in Afghanistan -

But while I criticized him for specific policy disappointments and botching our chance to reverse 30 years of obedience to a false economic doctrine, I never thought people would go so far as to accuse him of killing off their favorite vampire.

3. DK is moving left far enough to meet teabaggers on the other side.
He is facing a tough re-election campaign. It seems he's searching for that "sweet spot" where his usual rants against Obama for not being left enough will sound similar enough to the teabaggers' rants against Obama that they might mistake Dennis for one of their own.

The sad part is he will inevitably end up alienating voters on both sides.

14. Actually, this Libya action is extremely unpopular.
Americans have been asked to tighten their belts. The weakest, poorest, most vulnerable among us have been asked to tighten the most.

This war with Libya, however worthy it may be, is really unpopular under these circumstances. Americans are sick and tired of hearing nothing but war year after year after year.

These wars have depleted our nation's resources, both financial and human. An ever greater number of people want to see the end of the American war machine.

I have to ask ask who is really in charge in DC?

The president or the military? Obama has permitted himself to get sucked into a war that will end up with American troops on the ground. And when the casualties start mounting, it isn't going to be easy for Obama.

26. Dennis's "sweet spot" happens to be speaking the truth about
our involvement in Libya. His stance on Libya is not political, it has nothing to do with his re-election campaign.

17. Yes who does he think he is? Say the president should follow the constitution! The nerve of that guy
You know, in order to have a function democracy, we need people to stop and think. Not have knee jerk drunken football fan reactions.

7. For the most part I can't disagree with him in this clip
I'm admittedly still sifting through all the news about Libya, trying to digest it, but I didn't see anything crazy in this interview.

20. People will always hate Dennis for not bowing down to the big Dem in charge
he does what's right - if only we had hundreds like him instead of the bought and paid for puppets we get sold every 2-4 years.

21. Sanders. Kucinich. Feingold/Grayson gone now. Maybe a few less obvious others,

as far as the Congress is concerned. What's left? :banghead:
