MSNBC host Cenk Uygur speaks with former Florida Congressman Alan Grayson about Florida Governor Rick Scott making drug tests mandatory for all public employees in his state. Scott also wants to test welfare recipients (and charge them for it) but he is opposed to a database to track prescription drugs. Does the Governor have a vested financial interest motivating him? Is he just trying to protect Rush Limbaugh who was infamously addicted to Oxycontin?

The Governor of Florida has mastered the art
of legalized drug dealing...and he's in the drug
testing business.

And he's getting away with it.

Mexico isn't the only place that has
reached a terminal state of corruption

Why isn't this guy in jail?

Answer: The government of Florida is under the control of white collar criminals.

These are the people who brought you George W. Bush in 2000.

Amazing fact: Florida generates NINE TIMES the number of oxycodone prescriptions as the rest of the United State combined.

This is legalized drug dealing.

The pharmaceutical industry is in on it, the doctors are in on it, the "health care" companies are in on it, and so apparently is the Governor of Florida.

Rick Scott served in the U.S. Navy and then went into business. He earned a business degree and law degree and joined a Dallas firm where he became partner. In 1987 he helped found the Columbia Hospital Corporation with two business partners; this merged with Hospital Corporation of America in 1989 to form Columbia/HCA and eventually became the largest private for-profit health care company in the U.S.
