1. Wow
Dead on. Nail on the head. Well and passionately spoken. Well said Thom Hartmann.

Unfortunately, that's never going to happen. We the people... no longer hold the reins of power. When it comes election time we have corporate (D) and corporate (R) available as representatives. This isn't the 1890s, this is a brave new world, while I admire and agree with what Hartmann had to say, we'll never put BP in the chair and flip the switch. Why? Well, let's be realistic, if we held them accountable we'd have to do so with other corporations - we'd even have to hold politicians accountable. Anyone seeing the evidence of that? Nope, me neither.

No, things will have to get far worse before they can get better. BP is part of the problem, but as disastrous and terrible as it has been, it is only a small part. It is a single corporation in a Country where corporations have ultimate power. It is wealthy and powerful - but it is still a mere fraction of the whole.

Ah, to live in such a place where we really WOULD put BP in the chair and flip the switch....

We could march on Washington in millions and demand it - it still wouldn't happen.

2.  LOVE THOM AND LOUISE!
Thom Hartmann, Rachel Maddow, Mike Papantonio, Keith Olbermann, and a few others = the Brain-trust of the progressive movement in this country.

3. Bin Laden
Bin Laden should have incorporated Al Qaeda. Many industries, such as the tobacco and banksters, should be treated as terrorists.

4. How can this ever be executed if
the corporations run the nation ? Politicians have no power anymore to do it. They are
there to serve them. So what's the sense in it all ?
It has to come from US, the people by way of demonstrations and revolution.
I don't see that happening in the near future, and by the time it does, we will be living in
a police state; aka, the Former Soviet Union.
