Obama Democrats now make the same arguments for war as the Bush Republicans they once despised.

1. Bad arguments.

It is too bad that Bush made phony arguments to cover the real reasons - Cheney had already drawn up maps of the oil fields.

Then when someone comes along with the same reasons, but this time genuine, they are equated with the phony reasons.

I had often heard of Nicholas Kristoff before, but never really researched who he was until I read this column.

Kristoff is a brilliant guy - a sincere guy - one of the best minds in journalism today, and what he wrote makes this youtube video look like a steaming pile of ....

Also, this is the enforcement of a no-fly zone and protection of citizens from slaughter, not a war - the US will be out in 48 hours. It would have been earlier if not for the weather. How on earth can that be compared to the monstrosity of Iraq.

9. Pure unadulterated bullshit

Lies and not a shred of evidence of truthful endeavor was even considered being one thing; reason, truth and an attempt to work within it is quite another. Red herrings and strawmen armies do not an argument make. This argument is wrong on so many levels it makes one want to puke. Of course we have interests in Libya, the humanitarian issue however is of even more importance.

Though I have come to despise 0 I still give him credit for doing what he is doing within the realm of reason. * had no such mind, nor any such reason, nor anything but thuggery and greed to guide him and over a million Iraqi's were slaughtered and millions more have been maimed and their lives destroyed and thousands of US troops lost their lives.

It is sad that this pundit only sees things through the tinfoil eyes of right v/ left and cannot see beyond it; to the tragedy that befell this country when * and the neocons stole election after election to begin its systematic theft and destruction.

This "intervention" has yet to play out to the bad or to the good.
