Republicans campaigned on a promise to create jobs. Now they are turning their back on the middle class with measures that destroy jobs for America's heroes, while giving more handouts to special interests..

2. Tell Congress to Help Create Jobs Not Cut Them
Tell Congress to vote NO on H.R. 1. Now is not the time to cut investment in business and jobs. Call your member of Congress at 888.494.8956 and enter your zip code to be connected directly.

3. Americans want to be lied to
They eat it up. Tax cuts increase revenue. Wars pay for themselves.

I'm really starting to believe that we should just allow the death spiral to begin in earnest now. The sooner it starts, the sooner we can get through it. There will be pain, for me and mine and everyone else.

This is all predicted in Marx. Without a union-based left wing to offer a counterweight to corporate power, his predictions will come to pass. The parasitic ownership class is pathological, their greed is so powerful that they can't restrain themselves. Left to their own devices, they will push the working class toward revolution. Revolution is unpredictable, it could be a disaster...but we are looking at a slow motion disaster right now.

5. House liberals use Radiohead music to darkly portray GOP budget
By Sahil Kapur

The Congressional Progressive Caucus on Tuesday released a darkly atmospheric black-and-white video to the tune of Radiohead’s “Videotape” song, in an effort to attack the House GOP budget.

The one-and-a-half minute spot features promises made last year by Republican leaders to create jobs, followed by a headline in the Washington Post saying the House-approved GOP budget could cost 700,000 jobs.

“Instead of creating jobs and cutting spending, all Republicans have offered is a plan to fire nearly one million Americans,” the narrator says slowly in a gloomy voice.
