The Tea party has the GOP by the short hairs, and everyone is paying for it. But the hypocrisy of it all shall not go unnoticed.

I didn't actually even mean it as a "gotcha" in the "I have you now, bwahahaha" vein. I meant it in the "Okay, now I understand" ironic way. Frankly I didn't even think about the other interpretation until you brought it up. I'll fix it with annotations.

Republicans are always right, no matter what the empirical or scientific evidence may suggest.
Republicans always have a mandate, no matter how big a majority of the population disagrees with their position.
And any time they don't get their way they will stamp their feet and hold their breath and call you a communist until you accede to their demands.
