Congress might have been able to prevent a complete government shutdown last week, but that won’t stop President Obama from giving the GOP everything that they want when it comes to the budget. He’s already discussing cuts to Medicare and Social Security, destroying a safety net that millions of Americans rely on. Mike Papantonio talks with Ed Schultz about why Obama always seems to cave to Republican pressure.

1. Well Pap, since the voters "caved" in the midterms, I'd say the president
got a helluva deal, given that Dems gave him teabaggers & blue dogs to work with. But don't let reality get in the way of groveling to your fans there Pap. :hi:

3. Can you back up this sentence
"but that won’t stop President Obama from giving the GOP EVERYTHING that they want when it comes to the budget". I swear, some people get off just criticizing the president. The president make bargain with the congressional repugs and came out virtually unscratched. But some people on DU would look for agreement/outreach with/to the republicans to mount an substantiated criticism of him.

4. I like how Pap tried to remove Ed's lips from Obama's ass...
but I disagree on his last point that Obama is "good for progressives" and he's the "only guy carrying our spear".

WE are carrying our own spear! The people of Madison, WI proved that we DON'T NEED OBAMA. Nor do we need any political figure. The people will speak, even if their elected officials refuse to hear them.

Has President Obama accomplished good things? Yes. But those account for about 10% of his accomplishments.

The other 90% is the same pro-business, anti-union, war-mongering, budget-slashing, tax-cutting, arab-hating, moronic policies we got from George Bush. I know the truth is painful to some, but it's damn true.
