If you really think the Democrats in Congress are afraid of a bunch of fat pedophiles, it suggests YOU must be afraid of Republicans.

In truth, the Democrats in Congress have acquitted themselves admirably:

"President Bush's success rating in the Democratic-controlled House has fallen this year to a half-century low, and he prevailed on only 14 percent of the 76 roll call votes on which he took a clear position.

These stats prove that--given their marginal majority in both houses, and a relentlessly obstructionist Republican minority--the Democrats have done a bang-up job. Since the facts disprove it, the impression of cowardice must be wrong.

It's strange to hear the "Dems are cowards" meme repeated so often--by Democrats--not only because it is contrary to fact, but also because it makes no sense. Congress is not a fist fight, and Republicans are not badasses.
