Keep in mind I will be voting for Obama in 2012
But that doesn't mean I'll blindly buy what he's selling

3. How about helping, instead of causing harm? |
|
Try writing to your Congress member and Senators and telling them you expect them to stand with President Obama.
This negativism is toxic. Maybe that's your goal. If so, then you've found an opponent.

4. What makes you think I haven't? |
|
I have my congresscritters, as well as Pelosi (who seems to be the only one fighting for us some times) part of a regular email group on Thunderbird that I seem to send out messages to weekly.
As for my negativism: I'm the messenger. When Obama says something like "I will increase taxes on those making over $250K a year" and he ends up giving them a big tax break, and despite this he raises taxes on the middle class and poor, I remember what he said and compare it to what he's done. The two don't match up.
This is why I have a hard time buying today's speech. I've seen this movie before, and I know how it ends. And it was this way under Clinton as well.
Maybe you still have hope. I don't. Right now we need someone who can save the human race. And yes, I do mean all of us. The climate is heating up, causing glaciers to melt into the ocean, which in turn changes the temperature of the currents. We have a huge gyre of plastic sitting in the Pacific Ocean, and a smaller on in the Atlantic Ocean. Save the planet? It will be here a long time. The human race? The clock is ticking, and no one is doing anything about it.
