I was expecting Cryin Ryan to exclaim in anger, "He said he was one of us!!!!!!!"

7. sounds like Obama hit a nerve - bwahahahah - love it

someone is definitely upset that a counter-proposal was offered that was significant and didn't throw this country's military retirees, seniors and middle/working class to the sharks

Definitely Ryan and his underlings weren't expecting an alternative that made their own proposal pale so badly. That nerve that Obama hit obviously went deep and definitely upset someone who had been working ever-so-hard on their big science project that they are now pretty unhappy that their work was all for nothing.

18. How dare Obama not swoon over the boy blunder's plan to off grandma
so the Koch brothers can keep their tax cuts!

I'm sure the insurance companies that Ryan prostitutes himself to are THRILLED at the idea of a voucher program for Medicare. They will make sure that the only plan that most seniors will be able to afford will be high deductible plans that they can't afford to use. Those are extra profitable!

Fear and anxiety -- exactly how Bush kept the country in line during the War on Terror.

30. based on comments made by Cantor, the GOP hopes to throw Ryan up as GOP Prez Nom

Just my take, I've been saying it for months that they were testing him out early on - not making a big deal about him on morning talk shows, but nudging him out there to see how it played. They want someone who can talk without a Sarah Palin nasal whine, who can talk cocky & argue a point, a white family man with young kids, well-known to the religious right, someone who can make Obama actually look like the older guy, and of course someone who can give the angry ancient voters who are losing their vision, the blurry sensation that they are seeing Ronnie Raygun again – shoe polish hair and all.

My guess is they think they have the 'full package' with Ryan and they are going to let the rest of the pack fight it out for awhile and then push him into the mix towards the end of the process when all the GOP'ers are annoyed with everyone they've been seeing in ads and self-indulgent promos. (The same way they pushed Bible-thumping Sarah Palin into the picture at the last minute.) It wouldn't surprise me if they are also considering Cantor as VP, trying to lock in FL & VA (while desperately hoping for Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio) and for a chunk of the youth vote who hasn't seen Obama live up to their earlier expectations. That, or a late VP insert of Marco Rubio to pull in the rising Hispanic vote and hoping to lock in FL, Texas, AZ if they can swing it.

Ryan2012.com & PaulRyan2012.com are already bought and ready to go.

31. Little Eddie....
Paul Ryan reminds me of of "Little Eddie" of The Munster's series. He is born into wealth, began as a centrist moderate and received endorsements from labor union's after Les Aspin's entering the Clinton administration. After Bush #2 entered office and 'K' street scandal was uncovered, he went ultra right.

32. By failing to confront the most predictable economic crisis
How does one take that point ? When was it predicted ? Surely not when he was president, so he's blaming Bush ?
Which in turn means his party's plans for the past eight years didn't work ? He has about 30 seconds of his fifteen minutes left.

How can he say these things in front of a camera with a straight face?
He's disappointed that Obama gave (in his opinion) a partisan speech? Seriously? Any speech that doesn't give the Republicans a rimjob must fall into that category.
Failed economic policies of the past? Hello-o? Reaganomics?
This guy's a sociopath.

his proposals. Really. Every single thing Ryan accused Obama of the Republicans have already made their standard operating procedure. It is almost humorous.
