4. Thanks for K&R's and remember, resources are their future, they
know it and yet many here ignore it.

http://www.basraoilunion.org/2007/05/open-letter-to-us-congress-and-european.html

"...We ask our friends not to link withdrawal with the oil law, especially since the USA claimed that it came to Iraq as a liberator and not in order to control Iraq’s resources.

The general public in Iraq is totally convinced that Bush wants to rush the promulgation of the oil law so as to be leaving Iraq with a victory of sorts, because his project is failing every day and the occupation is collapsing in all parts of Iraq.

We wish to see you take a true stance for the children of Iraq, and we always say that history will remember those who advance peace over war."

5. great point
as soon as their limited resource is stolen their future is stolen and unless they can use the profits to create their own self sustaining economy even oil will not help them.

6. They are fighting for their future and the future of the next
generation, that should not be too difficult for people to understand. Just taking that a step further can we see why some people in Iran might be concerned, and that there could be segments of people, sanctioned or not by elements in the government, that might help their neighbor before the fire spreads to their house. That's a crazy thought.

7. Yes, he gets strength through peace. Anti-war just raises opposition.
and polarization.

8. That's my president
You know, in talking with folks I meet in the course of work, it is amazing how many like Kucinich's ideas-AND they have heard of him. Some like the "under the radar" campaign, while others feel Dennis has been unfairly treated by the media. But he is gaining support, just because, like the delivery man said today, "He's the only one who is saying something different from everyone else."

I never heard it before. "We can bomb the world into pieces but we can't bomb it into peace" is also new to me.

So is "power to the peaceful."

12. Michael Franti..."Bomb The World"

"I Know I'm Not Alone - Documentary Film. Michael Franti travels to Iraq, Palestine and Israel to explore the human cost of war with a group of friends, ..."

I also like this...short video listing Dennis' smart votes. And he also voted against granting China 'most favored nation' status back in 2000. All the other Dem candidates, excluding Hillary and Obama, voted for it.

Vote for the Smart Dude. War out.

"Things aren't always pretty as they used to be, devil lives in my TV, sick of what it's sellin me...I'm not as stupid as I used to be, give back my sanity, give me back my faith in reality."

It looks like Susan Jolly, one of the writers and back up singer created the above video for Kucinich.

11. Why are 99% of the replies to Kucinich posts, Kucinich supporters?
I see a mixed response to posts about Clinton, Obama and Edwards but rarely do I see the same mix in Kucinich posts. Has the media truly brainwashed and dumbed people down to the point where they ignore one of their own presidential candidates during the election process? It just seems strange that people who support the other candidates would be that closed minded to his ideas that they wouldn't even take part in conversation about him.

I am thankful that I came across DU because I had no idea about Kucinich, I was leaning to Obama and Edwards after that but once I saw what Dennis Kucinich stood for, it was clear to me who was speaking for me.

14. Once you are labeled people do not look any further, that and
there are not many arguments to be made against his policies. If one wants to be appear shallow then they can attack his small stature, his marital status etc. He speaks for me as well, after 30 years of voting for the Dem nominee I'm not sure that I'll do that again. As many have said my party left me. :(
