I think I know what's motivating Chris Christie to go after public school teachers. |

3. William Schallert (the principal seen briefly entering & fleeing the fracas) |

bears a striking resemblance to the guidance counselor in my high school. He was equally avoidant of anything resembling commitment or responsibility - a truly consummate administrator.

4. I'm had nervous breakdowns at the Xerox machine... |

We now have a copy center, where you send things to be done and they get done. I used to spend untold wasted hours waiting in line at the machine to get my copies done, only to have those behind me glare at me as though I had no right to be there. I used to come in during the summer to get my copies for the year done. I was belittled by the principal for doing it, too. I used to call ahead and see if he was in that day. I'd wait until he was off and make my move. Textbooks stink, I created my own and it's used worldwide. One unit at a time. I'm going to cut down on the copies for next year by having my students download the notes portion of the course from my web site and provide them with just the worksheet packets. Should cut my copying by almost half (tests and labs still have to be copied).
