1. I'm really glad Hartmann pointed this out. The propaganda machine
has got to be stopped. This isn't "free speech" going on in the media: they're using OUR airwaves to lie to us, twist the truth, and spread their propaganda. That's too much power for a bunch of liars to have.

15. Respond to Propaganda with Truth
Unfortunately, the crowd shot in this video (with boo's and catcalls was from the union counter-rally held nearby. In some parts of the shots of Palin you can hear the crowd cheering, not booing. This is not strong evidence of network bias. Hartmann only succeeded in making us all look dishonest.

18. You're wrong
The vast majority of the crowd was booing. Only the bussed-in supporters huddled in front were cheering. Every report puts the ratio at 10 to 1, and anything else would be very strange in a city like Madison, where people pay attention to the news.

2. That was excellent.
Amy Walter, the political news director at ABC, was on "Real Time" last Friday &, although she had trouble speaking up between the heated exchanges between Ed Schultz & Michael Steele, she managed to say enough to make it clear that she was a rightwinger. This is a person who decides how a network presents political issues. Obviously biased toward one party over another, she is to be regarded as a team player for corporate sponsors, as far as I'm concerned. Edward R. Murrow is spinning in his grave.

10. I saw that clip, here on du
and was surprised how blatant Amy Walter was with her RW opinions. Now I know to listen to ABC with caution.

20. Bill Maher had an ABC news producer on the other day
and she was clearly, virulently right wing in the way only an executive suit can be. She smirked with uncomprehending yet condescending frustration at every valid progressive point made by other guests.

6. We really don't
have a chance against this overwhelming media advantage.

I receive many requests from left wing activist groups. They want money to carry on the righteous fight against the lies and misdirection. But unless we aspire to purchase an entire media outlet, the size of Fox News, we are spitting into the wind. Every cause, from clean water to gay rights, is drowned out by this huge right wing media advantage.

Watch any discussion on the debt. Well the very fact that 'the debt' dominates the conversation is evidence enough. How one sided is the conversation? It is so one sided that those that actually stole the money and squandered our future are the loudest voices now clamoring for austerity measures to immediately correct this imbalance. And we are supposed to take this seriously.

I'm all in favor of continuing the fight but we need a new strategy. It's all about the media.

8. K&R. This one goes into the files. The subtle way that
perceptions are managed here is very scary. I consider myself pretty aware of such things, but learned alot from this. Hartman's great.

9. This is a classic example of American propaganda in action
I'm working on a video that addresses this issue and already have this stunning distinction of coverage in Sony Vegas. It's great to see Thom give this story the attention it deserves.

11. K&R and Many Thanks !
Thanks Thom for showing us how little of the truth gets shown on CNN these days.

Because that's a real story-- more people in the crowd booing Sarah Palin than supporting her.

13. You gotta compare this with another topic here....
"Andrew Breitbart and Sarah Palin in Madison with Real Full Audio of Protesters"

To further illustrate how utterly deceptive the MSM is on this.

14. I really hate Sarah Palin's voice. It's like fingernails on a blackboard.
That's always been the major flaw in Tina Fey's impression of Sarah Palin - she doesn't capture that horrible, irritating voice.

Yes...you are right.
