Even Americans who aren't necessarily against a Canadian-style system often use that phrase. It's the biggest misconception and I'm glad the Dr in the video cleared it up, because Canada's healthcare (doctors, hospitals, specialists) is privately-run, but publicly funded. Calling Canadian healthcare "government run" is like calling PBS "government run".
