1. I was happy to see that they are waking up to what is going on. |
|
This has been the problem with the electorate - too many ignoramuses.
Michael Steele is a complete fraud.
I was quite impressed with Ed for doing that - and it is likely that a bunch of their co-workers and colleagues watched the show, too.

Just what Jesus would want. More people on this earth to be taken out by guns.
He's still confused. Financially he thought he was part of the top 1% but now when they come after him he realizes he's not.
Like most republicans they don't realize shit stinks until they step in it, take off their shoe and smell it.

4. Well, thanks. Be sure to say that next time you see them. |
|
If this is the reception they get, they'll vote Republican next time just to get away from the snide tone.

Keep them on OUR side? Really? If I'm on a side, it is decidedly NOT on the short sited, selfish side of the guys in the video. Especially that first dude. None of this bothered him till it affected HIS paycheck, HIS town, and HIS son whom he's apparently trying to raise along with his wife (anyone else catch that creepy comment)
Whatever my side is, I think it has a dash more altruism and quite a lot more wisdom than I saw in this video.
You think they're going to be making any wise choices at the voting booth? You think they're going to THINK about important issues facing Americans? That emotional turn away from the regressives is only because they are pissed that it hit home. Emotions go up and down and might very well fade by the time it's needed.
I'm sure we'll see all sorts of new and shiny regressives changing their team as more and more of the nations dis-functionality gets right up in their faces. Sadly though, without the ability to see further, or care further, they won't be of much value and can't be relied on to think about issues until AFTER they hit home. Chances are still high that come election time, they'll vote with the same lack of vision, and the same emotional appeal of a new and shinier conservative.

10. Sure, I take the possibility of their tepid transitions with a grain of salt. |

One couldn't be a dependable Democrat when they don't understand the freedom of women to choose their own avenues of health care services or the value of moderation in our freedom to own guns.
But there is a lot of value in getting one's foot in the door of the Democratic party. These guys got a firsthand look at how adversely the Republicans' policies can affect people's lives, & at how dishonest the Republicans were in blindsiding the voters. Once a person is turned off by something, it's hard to win them back. In fact, sometimes it leads to such loathing that there's nothing that can be done to salvage the relationship.
These guys may not change their minds about certain issues, but they'll choose the party that will be more beneficial to their livelihoods.

11. Michael Steele is very talented... |
|
...at speaking at length and saying nothing at all. That is his value to his party. He managed to chew up precious minutes there, while saying literally nothing. It was Blah Blah Blah and not a single word about a single issue, just soothing sounds while he talked over anyone that he could and took up time. He represents his party well.
