Fellow DU'er "The Backlash Cometh" came up with the idea to create this video. Although the UAW reached an agreement overnight with GM executives, the obvious effort to reduce American wages to third world levels continues on.

1. This is exactly what I was thinking when Cramer made his ...
union breaking remark. He was so impassioned when it was his friends and to some degree himself who were on the losing end. According to him government had to take desperate measures to insure that didn't happen. Yet he's cool with shafting the hourly worker. "There's no reason to build cars here in America."

Hey Jim, next time we need to tool up and start cranking out ships, planes, tanks and guns who's going to make them? Your hedge fund buddies?

39. Of course
When they're in trouble, they scream literal bloody murder, as we saw Cramer doing.

When the working class is in trouble, they are called on to sacrifice for "the greater good" and to "be more flexible."

Feh. This can only go on for so long...and I for one will welcome the rather forceful change that is coming.

48. Who is this monster?? I was stunned to see his anti-worker bias
so blatantly displayed. He didn't even pretend to care about his fellow Americans.

That is alright. The days of Greed as King are coming to a close.

50. Cramer is Exhibit "A" for a 90% tax bracket for the rich.
When HIS ASS or HIS MILIONAIRE PALS ASSES are on the line, he begs the government for help, and they get it. When it's YOUR ASS on the line, pull up your own bootstraps like he bullshits and tough shit on you!

We need to soak his sorry ass in taxes. I'm tired of Republican Socialism for the Rich. Bout time we ALL had the socialism Canadian-style which that selfish shithead despises. If Free Enterprise is good enough for the poor, it's good enough for the Rich!

changing the real meaning of the trades. Is the 'middle class' the doctors, lawyers and the people that have bucks to play the stock market?

We're so screwed. Big business runs this country and elects the clown into office that can do the most for them. And man, do they hate unions.

The government sure isn't the people by the people for the people. It's all about corporation America.

8. Funny how the business class always blames the work force...
What Cramer et al don't want to us to know is that most foreign auto companies in the US pay as much or better that Union plants. The main difference: The management of foreign automakers make 55 times, on average, more than their average workers, American car managers? over 200 times more.

So let's drop the canard that American labor and their demands for fair compensation is makes American business uncompetitive. When it is clear that American management can not sell their way out of a wet paper bag. This is the MBA class that took the world's strongest production-based economy right after the 60s, and managed to turn it into a race to the bottom service-oriented cesspool. Look at our first MBA president, who inherited a peaceful and relatively prosper country and managed to turn it into shit in less that 2 years.

These idiots have been wrong one every issue. Relying on the likes of Cramer for economic advice and policy is like relying on medical care from a televangelist.

The hypocrisy of these idiots is patent: rescue my hedge fund friends who haven't put an honest day of work in their entire lives, screw the working class that do all the actual work. The American work force is now one of the most productive labor in the world, I would recommend that it is the management force that needs to shape up. I am sure it will be cheaper to outsource them... For example, I am sure msnbc could afford 10 Indian actors which can provide equally bad investment advice for what they are paying now a days to this Cramer bozo.

33. Obviously, a lot of people watch him.
But how many people that you know, call him before a show to give him input?

He targeted himself by feigning concern for those 7 million homeowners who would probably face foreclosure, when he really was lobbying for the federal government to help out his hedge fund buddies. I'm just saying that, maybe it's time to have a labor representative on that show with him.

11. Cramer is an Idiot
My father is a retired GM auto worker. The plant in our town closed shortly after he retired. He is very concerned about his healthcare benefits.

Cramer...what an assclown.

The middle-class is eroding away fast. As the middle-class dwindles we're going to have less people spending money on goods and services...which will shut down more buisnesses...and on and on....'til we have nothing but "Have's and Have not's".

This country is going to hell in a hand cart! =(

43. But...
the remark itself was an insult to UAW members. He implied they use male enhancement drugs in huge quantities. There is a huge number of GM retirees covered by their health plan and it only makes sense that these older men would use this type of drug. Instead, Cramer's blanket statement implies all union men are weak and impotent.

I suspect if one were to study the congressional health plan and what they pay out, the amount of Viagra used would far surpass that of all GM retirees. :D

36. It would be far more entertaining that is for sure...
They could hire a whole troupe of Bollywood backup actors and get like 10 song and dance numbers each show. It would be far more entertaining to get bogus investment advice delivered in the form of a beautiful Indian song by a bunch of gorgeous Indian chicks. Than getting the same bogus advice by an ugly bold guy who screams ever so obnoxiously.

But that is just me....

We don't need to make cars, sure. We also don't need to make stupid TV shows, heck we can just outsource his whole cable channel and just show telenovelas. Much cheaper, and easier on the eyes... equally useless when it comes to actual journalism, so? More cost effective in my opinion.

If he is not the poster boy for the outstanding principles and loyalty that is so characteristic of the American business oligarchy, I don't know who he is.

So 30 years ago he fancied sending us all to the gulag, now he is more in favor of seeing the whole middle class standing in a bread line.

42. Glorified Gamblers Get No Pity From Me
I do not pity Cramer at all. The real estate market needed to bust because the rich have driven up housing costs so much, they have pushed the middle and poor class further away from the American dream. I am really down on the whole stock market thing. The rest of America really needs to see how the other half or the upper crust live. We invest earnings that were made through hard, honest work. They take our money and keep way to much of it. We ought to be able to invest directly to a company and bypass the middleman who obviously needs a crying towel because he might have lost a million dollars. A million dollars is nothing in relation to Cramer's wealth. Read about him on wikipedia. Our country will not sustain this type of lifestyle for too much longer. I have invested for my 5 year old son's education and have seen the money slowly dwindle away. I don't like how the analysts make statements that send shock waves through the stock market which turn out to be totally unfounded. The worst thing about Cramer's remarks is how GM should bust the union. Go ahead GM, bust your union. I would never buy another American made automobile again. My family only buys American made cars, because we want to support our nation. It's all about health care. Everything is about health care. If a company does not have to pay so much money for health care, it leaves more money for the stockholders. Well, I use to work for Union Pacific Railroad. Railroaders are the most productive workers in America and their working conditions suck. And I can tell you from the bottom of my heart, that when I hear someone from the stock market crying for a helping hand, they can kiss my big, fat, hairy, white ass. I won't ever work for another company who answers to wall street.

46. I was thinking the same thing the other day.
The middle class needs something more secure than Wall Street to invest our money. Pound for pound, we're working harder for every dollar we get in and keep by retirement age, so we need to find a more secure vehicle to invest. We can't count on privately owned animals, like the Federal Reserve or Wall Street, to see us as anything but leverage to secure hedge fund investors.

We need a purely American solution.

56. On the YouTube Page...
right below the video screen, there's a place that shows honors...if you click the blue link, it shows you where the video is on YouTube's front page. You Tube breaks down the types of videos on their website into categories, this one being in News & Politics. Then they break it down further Top Favorite, Highest Rated, Most Linked, etc. etc.

Here are the links to this videos place on YouTube's Top 100 in News & Politics.

#76 Top Rated: http://www.youtube.com/browse?t=t&p=4&s=tr&c=25&l=
(rating a video on YouTube is done when clicking a star right below the video screen. 1 being lowest rating, 5 stars being the highest.)
#87 Top Favorites: http://www.youtube.com/browse?t=t&p=5&s=mf&c=25&l=

Usually, the honors disappear unless the video can make the "Top whatever for all time" list. I've never reached that level but I get tickled when a video gets honored for even a day. I have to credit my fellow DU'ers for putting me there several times. Their response is always fantastic. And I've credited several DU'ers for the ideas behind some of my videos. This place is a plethora of ideas & creativity. :hi:
