In truth, he was in the military, a purely Socialist entity (except the Dictatorship of his the unquestionable "superiors", and now he is a politician. Again, living off the "public dole", free health care all of his adult life, great money and benefits....sickening. Americans can not have these things but the ruling elite are entitled to all....

he commanded a Field Artillery Bn.

His retirement was forced to avoid a further confrontation that could have involved a Court-Martial for a UCMJ/Geneva Convention violation of abuse of a prisoner, (he fired off a round near the head of said prisoner to elicit information/a confession).

He's a real piece of work...has some kind of "Patton Complex", (ultra-authoritarian); was basically considered an average FA officer and most likely would not have made it to full Colonel.
