TRNN likes to spread out their segmented stuff. They have been releasing their "23 things they don't tell you about capitalism" for over month.

even the part where said govt do not need to pay their debt, they can keep borrowing till the cows come home? Personally, I think we should start cutting back on wasteful spending, theres absolutely nothing wrong with trimming out the fat when the country is in financial stress. Also with the kind of deficit we are running, I believe it would be unwise to test the limit of our creditors.

9. We have to raise taxes on the very wealthy. |
|
I live in LA where we have lots of people who could pay much higher taxes.
And military expenditures should be drastically cut. We should also charge a VAT on purchases while giving tax relief to companies that produce their products within the 50 states.

But shouldn't we be doing it 1st before taking more depth? we have a democratic WH and senate and believe me, if we cant do it now, we would never be able to do it. And if thats the case then, we better start living within our means. keynesianism works when the people are willing to financially support govt.

Very interesting and I hope his book sells well.
I totally agree that "free market" capitalism is not true to that term. It is more like Bully Capitalism IMHO. Those with the most money are free to buy legislators to make the rules to free up more money for them to increase their wealth.
Sigh...

Demand-side Economics is so much more effective than the Supply Side path that led to the Bush Crash.
