I love this new music video,I hope you enjoy it! 'All proceeds from #Beyonce song will go to New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund.'

'Beyonce first recorded 'God Bless The USA' in 2008 for Pres Obama campaign but never released it."
'Beyonce God Bless The USA. Thanks To Cnn.'

1. That song has so many bad associations for me that I just
can't endorse it, no matter who sings it. I has been the theme song for the teabaggers for far too long, I'm afraid. Whoever sings it, I see teabaggers.

Sorry.

3. But can't you see the Teabaggers heads exploding
at the image of a non-white pop singer performing their sacred anthem?

5. Sadly, I can't. They won't hear this version. They'll keep hearing
the one they've been playing at full volume at every teabagger rally. For me, the song is fixed in that movement. It's a pity.

I wish I could take it down,now.

On second thought, I'm sorry but 'proceeds from #Beyonce song will go to New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund.' and I like seeing Tea Baggers heads spin!

I'm proud of her version of this song!

6. No need to do that. I'm just expressing my sadness that the
song comes with those connotations. Beyonce sings it well, and there's actually nothing wrong with the lyrics. It's just how it has been used for so long. It's a pity, I think.

7. I know just how you feel!
:pals: I'm really glad you mentioned This!
I used to be the biggest Country Music fan out there, till that boot in the butt song. Then after what they did to the Dixie Chicks...

I want my Country Music Back! It's time! :fistbump:

8. This song has been around allot longer than the teabaggers and I will tell you when a military
family is in a far away place on the 4th of July and they play this song on any military base in the world it brings tears to you and makes you proud for all the good things america stands for. I won't let teabaggers hijack this song. I love it no matter who sings it. This song is for everybody. This song has no politics.

9. OK. I didn't say others had to feel the same as I do.
I just said what my reaction to it is. Yours may differ.

10. You took the words right out of my mouth
I listened to this because I was hoping to not hate it - the sentiment is actually very nice, but I feel the same as you, even though the beautiful and talented Beyonce recorded it, and even though the proceeds go to a great cause, i just can't not hate this. They've tainted it for me. Evidently forever.

12. I HATE that fucking song.
I don't care if Lee Greenwood sings it, if Beyonce sings it, if freaking Pavarotti sings it.

15. Too bad there's not some verses on teacher firings, loss of women's freedom, loss of travel freedom,
Edited on Mon May-09-11 10:45 PM by Billy Burnett
etc etc etc etc etc etc.

Proud to be an American?

Which part? The part that sits back and lets it happen, or the part that endorses it. or the part that fights against above?

:puke:
